Launch of Jupiter Music Awards
We are please to announce the launch of the inaugural Jupiter Music Awards to recognise leading music artistes and professionals.
Organised by the Asian Television Awards, the leading talent and content recognition platform in the Asia Pacific, the Jupiter Music Awards seeks to recognise music talents both in the performance and the production of music content.
Music transcends cultures and languages and is another form of engaging content in the digital space. Under the Asian Television Awards, we already have categories for Best Music Programme and Best Music Videos but there is no recognition for the music artiste and the creative and engineering professionals behind music creation and production. Hence the launch of the Jupiter Music Awards as an extension of the Asian Television Awards, backed by the same professional team and sharing the same ethos of transparency, industry inclusion and participation.
The determination of award winners for the inaugural Jupiter Awards is entirely by public voting and this is conducted through the official mobile voting platform, My1Pick. My1Pick is available on both Andriod and iOS and fans and supporters will need to download and install the app on their mobile phones to place their votes. Each fan may vote for multiple artistes and multiple award categories but will have a cap of maximum 100 votes per day.
There will be 5 Award Categories for the 1st Jupiter Music Awards:
- Most Popular Solo Male Performer
- Most Popular Solo Female Performer
- Most Popular Duo/Group
- Hottest Trending Rookie
- Most Popular Dance Performer
The Jupiter Music Awards will be presented at the Asian Television Awards Live Show slated for 30 November 2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Winners will be invited to walk the Red Carpet and receive their trophy onstage during the ATA Live Show. The trophy will have the same look and feel of an Asian Television Awards Trophy, recognised for its heritage.
There will be 2 rounds of voting – Preliminary and Final.
The Preliminary Round of voting begins on 15 September and ends on 30 September. Ten artistes with the most votes will progress to the Final Round.
The Final Round of voting begins on 7 Oct and ends on 10 November. The artiste with the most votes will be the winner.
We are pleased to announce that the 1st Jupiter Music Awards has received strong backing from the music industry with more than 200 music artistes and groups having submitted their participation. These include leading acts like BTS, EXO, Mamamoo, New Jeans, Red Velvet and NCT, as well individuals like Lisa and Jennie of Blackpink – from Korea; and Hael Husaini, Zizan Razak from Malaysia; Moira, KZ Tandingan from the Philippines; and Krist and Nanon from Thailand.

ABOUT THE ASIAN TELEVISION AWARDS
The Asian Television Awards is Asia Pacific’s largest and oldest Awards for the broadcast and video industry. Founded in 1996, the Awards is supported by 200 broadcasters, 1000 production companies and 50 talent agencies.
